Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari (center) discusses the upcoming Census with Ocean County Planner Victoria Pecchioli and Planning Director David McKeon. For the next year-and-a-half,the Planning Department will be working with Census and municipal representatives to verify addresses throughout the county and to enumerate the hard-to-count population. Vicari is encouraging local residents to apply for the temporary Census office and field positions which are becoming available now. He said details can be found at http://www.census.gov/2010census/jobs/. People who are interested, but who do not have a computer can take the website address to their local library branch or the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall where staff will assist them.
